Watch Description

Received this one yesterday. I can't ID it. Lisa has one just like it and it is listed as an unknown model. This one is super nice for the age. I think the band may be the original. It has a broken main spring currently and I'm suspecting that when it broke it was put in a drawer somewhere until it was found and sold to me.

It has a dust cover for the movement but I removed it for the photo.

By Golly, that's her Mr. Baker! Thank you. I thought I had combed through all the ads, but I missed that one. Even though it was a cheaper model it sure has held up well over the years. I've got a new mainspring coming for her.

Yes I see as Bernice with original bracelet

Looks like a match to Bernice, one slight difference I see is with the oval inside ring on the bezel - the one in the ad looks to be thicker and engraved, subject watch is a thinner plain ring. Very nice watch!

You're right about that Andersok. I missed that detail. Hum-m-m-m. Some ads show the Bernice without the enameling also. Dag-nabbit! Now what? Back to unknown?

I'm still be at Bernice, even with what looks to be a variation between to subject watch and the artwork on the advert.

I don't know. This is an ad I have for the Bernice from a Dec. 1928 issue of the Saturday Evening Post.

If you look at it closely, you can see it doesn't have the enamel and the engraving is different. Notice there is no engraving at the crown position and none on the other side in that location and there is a small section at the top and bottom of the case that doesn't have engraving. Plus the engraving is not the same as what is on my watch. Then take the engraving around the crystal into consideration and there's a lot of differences.

Yea I saw that 1928 ad you show above, and compair it to the 1930 ad used further up.
