Surf King Variant

Did they possibly make a variant of the surf king with no numerals, just hash marks. I have picked up a 17 jewel 11AL  marked M3 on the movement and case back that is identical to the surf king but no funny 12, Just hash marks for numbers. The second hand is in the low 6 o'clock position with the cross marks.

I think I have a similar watch ,plain silver dial with silver darts at all 12 positions,seconds at 6 o'clock, 11AL,push-out body and M2 for'62. Is yours squared off in the lug gape? Mine is.
