President H Model?

Submitted by What Does Your… on January 11, 2019 - 4:40pm

I've had this NOS case and tag for years but haven't been able to find which dial and movement it should have.

I had planed to sell it on that popular auction site but decided to see if the members here can figure out what dial/movement configuration the case would have had.

I've included some pics to help with identification.

Please confirm the case date code is L8?

1958 Price Guide shows the model at this price point.

Yes, the date code is 1958.

Thank you very much for the picture and identifying the dial and movement.  After 10 years the mystery is finally solved!

I'm heading over to Lisa's site to look around, thanks for that link.

Edited to add: I've always understood that watch cases with no markings inside and the case back having fewer engravings were usually reserved for award or dedication watches.  Any truth to this?

Not that I've heard. Are you able to clarify what you mean when you say 'no markings', as in no markings at all, or no jeweler hand scartch markings.

The inside of the case back has no factory engravings.  The case back has the serial number the date code and Bulova Quality, but no mention of gold filled content.

Here you go. Lisa's site has one listed in her collection (actually listed as unknown) but now we know what they look like. Contained a 11AC, 17 Jewels movement.
