I've been holding this for a couple of Days and just can't wait any longer.

The ad is from Loftis Jewelers and appears on Page 40 in the book titled 'Wrist Watch Price Guide, Vintage American and European" Book 4 by Sherry and Roy Ehrhardt, Joe Dempsey. Heart of America Press.

The image has been reconstructed via photoshop using 3 seperate views, a hard copy of the actual ad will be in My possession soon and forwarded to admin for publication on site.

The Bulova 'SURREY'

enjoy.

...and thanks for the citation, so now I'm off to Amazon to look for a book!  Great find.  ...and the blurry ad that was/is on site looked like it started with an S, but wasn't read as Surrey

Will,

I've searched online for the eBook, nothing.

The recently ID'd 'La Fayette' (as it is shown to be) appears in the same ad and the 'SURREY' We have previously mistaken as the 'SENATOR', more than once.

I see your record for a 1928 Senator, but the 1926 ad you use in that record seems to match the watch as a Senator.  Could the Surrey ad find be for a specific year, maybe a predecessor to a later Senator, or the other way around?  I doubt Bulova would call a specific watch a Senator, then change to a Surrey for a year, then back to a Senator.  The date of the Surry ad is hopefully in the hard copy your expecting.  This is great stuff.

I think the current Match on that particular Watch is an optical illusion and the ad shows a leaf design on the bezel verticles without Flowers, possibly one flower in the Center and again in the center of the horizontals, it's a little blurred to say the least.  Jerin has one in the database matching this pattern Dated 1926 or 1927 which is the true 'SENATOR'.

The new ad for the 'SURREY' is a definate match for the '3 Flowered' bezel which We've never had a clean look at in an ad, no question there.

Jerins' 1926 'SENATOR' side by side with the 1926 ad

One Flower in the center of the bezel horizontals and one in the center of the verticles.
