Has this Military 3818A Dial been restored?

Submitted by Private Squirrel on November 1, 2014 - 7:14pm

I really like this Mil-W-3818A wrist watch-

But I am unsure if the -Dial has been Restored?-

The Dial's luminous paint looks fantastic but it is strange how the metal hands have quiet a lot of fading and patina but the Dial is immaculate.

I personally like all -original patina and untouched- even if there is fading.

Thanks so much

(I hope the image shows ^_^x)

That has to be a refinished dial. Usually if you look close enough you can find a little flaw in refinished dials. I can see a little black paint bleed over in the 5,6,10 and 12 and possibly the 7.

I'm a big fan of "As Found" even if there's a lot of patina.  Looks like the link to your pictures stopped working.

You must have deleted the image on photobucket Private Squirrel. I found out years ago, if you use photobucket to host an image you are going to post on another site, that if you delete it on photobucket it also deletes it on any site you've posted it on.
