Bulova: Finding Answers, by Lisa Lawrence Andrew in NAWCC Bulletin

Congratulations to Lisa Andrew on her recently published article in the Jan/Feb 2013 edition of the NAWCC Watch and Clock Bulletin.  Her article, "Bulova: Finding Answers" is a great summary of the current status of our quest for Bulova answers, and a very nice summary of the utility of both her website http://www.watchophilia.com/ and MyBulova.com.

NAWCC members should be getting the hard copy in the mail any time now....but for those NAWCC members who want an early peak at the article, they can access it through the link below:
http://nawcc.org/index.php/watch-a-clock-bulletin/current-watch-a-clock-bulletin

It's on page 47.  The article discusses the utility of vintage ads in the quest to rebuild Bulova history, acknowledges the work folks have done to help rebuild this history, and notes the importance of the first digit of case serial number to year of production correlation, first reported by MyBulova panel member Fifth Avenue Restorations right here on MyBulova.com.

Lisa also gives a nice synopsis of the current understanding of the Academy Awards model line, citing several official legal documents which help separate previous "popular belief" from published facts.

Congratulations to Lisa, Watchophilia, MyBulova.com and the Bulova Collectors community at large, as we move towards the truth in Bulova history and model identification....a continuing "work in progress".

It's a great article and really highlights the wonderful work that we have all done here at myBulova.com over the last 7 years, without which this article would have been possibe.

Thank you to all members that have and continue to help uncover vital historic information that has bought this once dead vintage watch brand back to life in such a way that now everyone wants a piece of Bulova history.

Stephen.

ps. my 1927 Lone Eagle faithfully tells me that is 11:44......close enough.
