Suggestions on where to find a vintage Bulova?

Hello!
I am from Canada and I'm wondering does anyone know where would be a good place to search for a vintage Bulova women's watch?

Hi Ocean21, I recommend you search internet sales and auction sites to find vintage watches. there are dozen of options. As always 'emptor caveat' (let the buyer beware) there are some really reliable sellers and sites and some that are.......not.

PS - there is a "For Sale' Section to the right of this page, there are some women's watches listed.......

Hi Geoff,
Thank you so much for your reply! I am wondering do you have any suggestions on what auction sites counted as "reliable" in your opinion?
And thank you so much for the "For Sale" Suggestion!
I will take a look later

The obvious online auction site is eBay. I'd recommend you browse through the sales and work out what time period and style interests you the most and then narrow down your searches to that decade.

This link: https://mybulova.com/bulova-date-codes will help you determine what year a watch was made.

As with buying any vintage timepiece, buying one that has recently been serviced or having it serviced once you have it, will ensure it will work well for many years to come.

One of the best things about buying a vintage Bulova watch is the availability of parts. There are some models that may be a little harder to find parts for, but on the whole parts are aplenty.

Hi Ocean21. Do a little research, this site is a good place, on what to look for in a genuine Bulova. Regardless of where you buy from, you will encounter non conforming Bulovas being passed off as a genuine original. Sometimes the seller doesn't know what they're selling is not genuine. Look at the photos very closely also. The seller might not mention that a movement part is missing if a photo shows it's missing.

Hi 1955mercury,
Thank you so much for the suggestion, I was able to find out that some of the faces for the movement is actually different than what I can see on the Bulova ad, so yes definitely need to pay more attention to it as well!

Fun fact: I found my vintage Bulova in eBay, from a seller in Canada. Happy searching!

Be careful and do not confuse Bolivia watches as Bulova.   They are cheap watches intended to mirror Bulova watches.  Sometimes people intentionally or unintentionally list these as Bulova.  Check the dial in the pictures.

I purchase most of my watches on ebay.  As others have mentioned I did buy a Non-Conforming once when I was first starting out, so make sure the seller has photos of all the parts and that they all say Bulova.  The only time I have had issues on ebay was both from buying from sellers that had 0 feedback, so I avoid those sellers now.  I think most US sellers probably ship to Canada.  Good luck!
