Help Needed! Lunar Pilot question.

I've exhausted all other options, so I am trying to see if this group can help. I purchased a Lunar Pilot about a year ago. A month ago, the sweeping second hand started ticking instead of sweeping. I changed the battery. Same thing. Bulova support was no help. Does anyone know why this has happened?  The sweeping hand was a key reason I bought this watch.

Whilst not focused on new Bulova models I can confirm that my watch does sweep on the chrono second hand, as it also does on the chrono reset.

What does your chrono second sweep hand do on a reset (ie bottom button)?

Reset does nothing unfortunately.  To be clear, the watch works fine.  The only issue us that the second hand ticks once per second instead of sweeping (which it did originally when I bought it).  I have Googled every possible combination of words and can't find a single instance where someone mentions this happening to them.  Thanks for the reply.
