Watch Description

This one is certainly a Date King and has a 17J automatic movement. After quite a bit of searching, I find what is believed an exact match to the case, but not the face detail.

It appears to me that during a previous cleaning, all printed details on the dial were removed,  as was most of the lume dot material next to indices. Based on date, case, indice shape and hands, this appears to me to be a Date King "TT" that had the seconds track, cross hair detail and "Self Winding" text scrubbed from the dial.

Running out of the package and keeping reasonable (+/-3 over 24) time. Bulova marked NOS expansion band added by me.

I could not find a match to this one. I notice that this is an automatic, but that is missing from the dial 'Automatic' or 'Selfwinding'. The hands also do not look to be anything I've seen on a Bulova; lume opening on these should fill more of the hands, not just the ends. Also, the 'TT' variant should have the cross-hairs pattern.

I'd agree this is a Date King

I think that Bob is correct in saying that the dial has been 'over cleaned' This is very easy to do......move along, nothing to see here folks.....

I also agree with Ken, that the hands don't match the originals (as seen here).

All said and done I agree that it's more than likely a Bulova Date King, but with the lack of dial markings and incorrect hands I'd say we skip the variant.

Good eye, guys, I didn't notice the difference in the hand lume, and was more fixated on hand shape. Good call.

For certain it's Date King, I agree that sans the dial markings we skip variant. 1966 Bulova Date King
