Watch Description

A bucket list watch that mysteriously turned up in the post one day after travelling halfway around the world, from the good old US of A to downunder Australia.

This watch is a daily wearer. People just have to see this watch so they can appreciate its uniqueness. I love wearing it.

Thanks Jerin!!!!

Side note: This model was the first model every identified with the help of the old Bulova casing department. Many many years ago they were helpful enough to dig through their archives, before they had one, to help put a name to this curious case design.

I think it is a bucket list item for every Bulova collector and for other watch collectors.  1950 Bulova Berkshire.   I have a rectangle version of this in 14KT Gold from Lecoultre.  It is a D&A case.  I wonder if they made the Bulova ones too.  Too bad Bulova didn't do a rectangular one.

Love this one! The sterling bezel ring looks pretty crisp! Now is the hunt on for an Air King?  =o)

as a newbie here, I am really impressed with the watch and the quality of the images, especially since the size of it to upload is a challenge.

Thanks Lisa, The image  was taken with a mid-range Samsung (A51) phone, resized to 576 × 806 pixels and ended up being 122KB.

The site has a 150KB limit so as you can see it's easily achievable to get a good image under that.

The trick it to reduce the actual size if the image rather than trying to compress a large image.

I use https://pixlr.com/e/ to resize and touch up my images. It's very similar to Photoshop and 100% free to use in your browser.

Thanks Admin, I was hoping you would share your expertise and what you use with this result. I have tried many image application software in the last 15 years, my favorite was one that is not compatible with Chromebook, that I acquired last year.

All I use now is a simple limited application, so  I will try pixlr. Regards, Lisa

Glad you like it bro!  I remember you had mentioned it being a bucket list watch in passing during our zoom.  So cool....
