Welcome.  Thank you for adding your watch. The watch appears to be a while gold variant of a 1952 Bulova Dolly Madison as found in this 1954 ad.

This looks to be white gold, which would make it the Dolly Madison 'G'

1957 LB 131

This model was around from 1952 thru 1960

Glad to see there is a variant letter G, the examples without the variant letter under the model name had different styles and face designs, G is a perfect match, seems it was also priced a little higher, why would that be in 1952?

Thank you for all you hejp.

Lisa

The two prices you see on the ad are actually dealer cost and retail price. What you are seeing is an excerpt from basically a salesman catalog of sorts depicting available watches that was shown to jewelers to pick inventory to sell in their store. Both variants had the same dealer cost and suggested retail price.

Based on inflation, $57.50 in 1952 had the same buying power as $572.00 today.

$572, is a lot of money today too. Thank you for explaining the source of this information and what it meant. Regards, Lisa
