I had to make an educated guess on the manufacture year. This was my fathers watch and he gave it to me to wear when I was a child in 1964. I was only 6 and my dad quickly decided that I was too young to take care of a watch like this. I was finally given the watch by my mother when my dad passed away last year. I really don't know much about it except that as a keepsake of my father's I am very interested in having it restored to new condition. Any information about it, along with direction to someone skilled in restoration work would be greatly appreciated.
Case marked as M0 does make it 1960.
I believe your watch is from the Bulova Sun Clipper series. The case is a match with very distinctive lugs and bezel. I've seen two dial variants so far, so yours may be another variant.

Not sure if it really needs 'restoration'. The dial looks good but the crystal could be replaced to make it look much better. I recommend getting rid of the band. It's a 'self adjusting' model that presses against the lugs and damages them. A light case polish and your watch would look really nice. This advert, while it doesn't show your watch shows different styles of bands used in the era of your watch. Some prefer leather straps, some like metal bands, it really is personal preference. Where do you live, we might be able to direct you to a watchmaker?

Thanks for the info! I live near Vancouver in BC Canada. I have no problem replacing the band.
I forgot to mention that the watch is not working, my father thought that a spring broke. This was several years ago. There is also a scratch on the face of the dial.
If there is someone you can recommend that would be able to make this watch work and look great I would be very grateful.

I've contacted you and given you my email address. However the my account menu doesn't have the message box you show here. There's something called a personal contact form that I can check or uncheck but I can't actually see the form itself. I've checked the box, I believe it authorizes personal contact. Let's see how things go. Thanks again for your help!
