Watch Description

I had to make an educated guess on the manufacture year. This was my fathers watch and he gave it to me to wear when I was a child in 1964. I was only 6 and my dad quickly decided that I was too young to take care of a watch like this. I was finally given the watch by my mother when my dad passed away last year.  I really don't know much about it except that as a keepsake of my father's  I am very interested in having it restored to new condition. Any information about it, along with direction to someone skilled in restoration work would be greatly appreciated.

I agree the case matches the Sun Clipper, but the dial/hands should be luminous for that model.

This dial is similar to the Hayward:

I can't find a match either.   Seems like a lot of unusual ones are showing up lately.

Panel, Sun Clipper noting dial difference or Unknown.

I'm going 1960 Bulova Unknown

So it looks like we can’t rely on the serial number and codes on the back of the watch. My mother told me that the watch was sent in for servicing to bulova back in the late 70’s. When the watch came back the service department had replaced the entire casing without permission. She said the original case was much simpler and didn’t have the filigrees that this watch has. My dad was very disappointed because he felt the look of the watch had completely changed.
the bottom line is nothing about this watch can be determined by the info on the case. Dang.

Apparently my father bought the watch sometime between 1954 to 1955. My parents met in 1956 and he already owned it. He was a very young man, he made monthly payments on it until it was paid off, it was his pride and joy.
