1941 Bulova Unknown 17J 10AX movement, Clean 10K RGP Bezel and Stainless Back, Nice Off White Dial and Gold hands, B/R 12K Gold Filled Band. Very Nice Good Running Watch!

This watch was previously ID'd as a Ambassador "A", but after acquiring a 1939 Ambassador and compairing the two, it belongs in the unknown catagory for now until another Lone Eagle "A" ad shows up. ;-)

AMBASSADOR 'A' and 'C' shown in the ad above are the same Watch - the Dial is the variant and all oher attributes will remain the same.

This is very basic stuff.

Yours & Jerins side by side, How much difference is there in the measurements?

When I measured mine, I didn't pull the crystal, band or case back, so I could be slightly off.

I don't know if any progress was made on identfying this watch but I believe that it is a Lone Eage with the original band. The line on the lugs just ourboard of the band as well as two lines on the band link are indicative of the Lone Eage for this year.

The Ambassador did not have any line on the lugs and the metal bracelet has the 3 lines on the link that attaches to the watch lugs.

The rings on each end of the lugs was an indication that the watch in question was originally designed for a leather strap or a bracelet. I have examples of both and no engraving but that may be the defining trait to id this watch as a LE A.
