Watch Description

Watch was purchased in Los Angeles in 1967 as a gift for my mother. Case and Braclet are all 14kt gold and the diamond is 1/2 caret. Still have the original box and the watch has been serviced and cleaned. Really want more information if available as i cannot find another example like this watch.

Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your mother's watch with us.  What a wonderful heirloom to have and it is a unique beauty!

Does the box have any information in it that might be helpful?  Sometimes they would have a collection name or even the model name on the box.  Does the movement have a date stamp of M6?

It does not have the date stamp on the case. It came from lefferts jewelry in California. But no other information is available.

thank you

Thank you for the info on the case.  I can't make out if the date stamp on the movement.  Can you confirm it is a M6 etc?

That would make sense, M6 = 1966... I would need a higher rez picture to confirm it...

What a wonderful heirloom. I have to say I've never seen another like it. Unknown for me, but still looking.

This is a wonderful heirloom from your mother, congratulations. I've never seen anything like it either, I can't help but wonder if it was custom made for her, it's lovely. I doubt we'll find an advert match for it but it's a nice addition to our database.

Marie, it gives we great pleasure to say I think I have id'd your mothers watch.   We recently received access to Bulova's line books and I found a match to your watch in the 1965 Line Book BAWD0159-2 Page 35 of 85.  If the panel agrees we will finally have a name and what a great name it is.

I want to thank all of you you so very much for all the efforts to locate my mothers watch and identify it for me, I’m so grateful!

Do you have any idea what I should insure for, if it had to be replaced if anything should happen to it?

Thank You,

Marie
