Watch Description

Who says a bargain can't be found. 1928 Templar I believe...could be wrong but it sure does look like Mr. Bakers in the database. Really awesome condition running and keeping good time. Not a bad deal for 75 bucks

I see what your saying. It also looks to be a bit wider in the center than Mr. Bakers 28 and the ad but the cresent moon date code make me think that there may have been 2 models to choose from, the wide one or the narrower one.

I am also curious on what the bright and oxidized finish looked like!

Not sure about that. This one is obviously the "bright" one. Also there are 2 29's in the database one that looks like Mr. Bakers 28 and a wider one like this one with the updated case design.

Hmmm, Mr Baker DOES have a watch like this! Alas it is "Not a Templar" is Unknown. They are very close but the Templar is quite a bit narrower!

Alas, 1928 Bulova Unknown or as I call it "Not a Templar"

Oxidized might mean a kind of matte or dull finish? I'd laike to see that, too.

Unknown for me for now.

We have a  number of entries in the database for this model, but alas the model name has so far eluded us. One day...one day!!!

Based on the others in the DB and not finding an ad match it will be Unknown for now

Agreed Mr. Baker, it doesn't look like your Templar but it does look like your Not a Templar. lol

I have an ad that I thnk matches this watch from the April 18, 1928 edition of the Chicago Tribune.  Unfortunately no name.  Apparently the advertisers at the Tribune didn't hink such niceties as including the name helped sell the watch.  :(
