Watch Description

1942 Goddess of Time. Relatively good condition, non-original Craftmode scissor band. 14k GF Rose gold case and band. Wrong decade, but I finally have a Goddess to put in my Goddess of Time case. I believe the case is 50's. The advert snipet is from the 1st advert in the 1942 ads

Nice looking Goddess of Time.  I don't think it is the one in your ad.  That one has engraving around the dial and I believe yours is plain around the dial and has a bit of engraving on the lug section. Will see if I can find a variant

Ok so I believe this is the "G" variant.  The "F" being the yellow version.

I believe you are correct in box dating. I'm pretty sure box dates 1952-1955. No matter, it makes a nice display. I've got boxes waiting for watches as well as watches waiting for boxes. :o)

Sometimes it hard to match the watch to just an illustration. (For me anyway)

I guess thats why I go to the actual photos first

I think with the 3 ads above show together the yellow with the bracelet as "F" and rose gold with a silk cord band as "G".  Here is one more ad.

Kathy - I've always been against assuming a variant progression, eg. if "F" is documented as yellow gold then "G" must be rose even if there isn't documentation.

This advert gives me the verification that, in fact "G" is rose gold - thanks!

Maybe the confusion is with the bracelet. This watch is rose gold but it has an expansion bracelet instead of the rope
