I struck out on this one. It's possible it had a number designation instead of a name.

Unknown for now, sorry.

I understand that it is called a Jet Star.  There is another one in the '70's watches, but they have the wrong movement listed because the one claimed is strictly a date movement, not day/date.  I still have to find a movement ring, stem, and crown.  It runs very well though

Good catch. I considered Jet Star, but could find no ads depicting it. Early on in mybulova, members could assign a name based on intuition, as opposed to documentation and discussion.

I just found this one, added in 2012 -  https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1975-jet-star-4073

that is hang tagged as 11673-W, with no reference to a name. It was apparently speculated to be a Jet Star based on similarity of number designation to others with ad documentation.

It's a tough call, let's wait and see what the other panel members have to offer.

Thought you might find this interesting.  I have always wondered if this was actually a Bulova works in some other maker's case.  Part of this skepticism was based on the fact that the thread ring has never screwed into the case very well.  Then a couple nights ago I run across this base metal version of the same watch, including the odd internally faceted crystal, but it has a different dial and a different back.  I now believe that it is Bulova, perhaps international, but the seller didn't have the back or dial and fitted an almost fitting Bulova back to it.mystery Bulova 1

This is the watch I was referring to.  It appears to be identical, however the movement cannot be an 11ALACD, as to the best of my knowledge every movement in that series is limited to "date only" function.  You are quite tenacious in your research I see

All the ads I see for the Jet Star show Day/Date. There's a handful on the 'Bay right now.

This one is Unknown to me. Regarding the linked watch, I voted that one as one check (which means I don't think it's a Jet Star either).
