Welcome to myBulova!  What a lovely watch.  Do you have a photo of the back of the case and/or the movement that we could see?

Only panel members can revise a posting description and photos. As a member, you can add images into comments boxes. Go to the home page, click "Forums" in top bar. At the top of that page is a link that explains how to add images.

Thanks for the second photo and yes that does help verify the year which is great!  The two ads I have posted below have nice detailed descriptions which is really nice to find.

The ads verify this watch sold for $125 in 1972.  That it has a marquise shaped case with a fine hand-cut finish in 14K solid gold, 23 jewel movement.  It has asymmetrical ascents set with two diamonds attached to a gold filled self adjusting mesh band.  It has a silver dial with gilt markers.  It is shock resistant and has an unbreakable mainspring (although after all this time I wouldn't count on these two facts).

Looks like a Starburst "C".  Here are two 1972 ads.
