Your watch will be Thayer but if I see a good will be from 1953 on movement I see L3

Hello,  Lovely watch.  I believe it is the Duo Wind "F".  Does it have an L1 on the back of the case? And is it an L3 on the movement?

Yes it is L1 on the back of the case and L3 on the movement.

I also noticed that only the Duo-Wind F model has the 60 minute numbers around the outer rim.

Looks like the Thayer shows up around 1952 per the ads. Identical to the Duo Wind B, C (expansion band), & F. Thayer and Duo Wind 'F' both have the same model number 1091.

Based on case of L3, I would call this one the Thayer

Ken the case is L1 and the movement is L3.  That makes it interesting on IDing it.

I agree, these are challenging to ID; but since the case is 1953 and dial is w/o Duo Wind, I think Thayer would be the model name.

He said the case is L1.  I am not versed enough on the years of these.  Was 1952 the changeover year?

Ohhh, I had them mixed up. Not exactly sure then, movement and dial look to be from Thayer, hard to say about the case originality to those. We think 1952 was the time the model names changed.
