Watch Description

Hunted high and low but can't find one like mine. So far, I'm guessing it's a 1941 Goddess Of Time. I noticed the symbol on the movement, but that symbol can represent an earlier year. The pictures don't really show it but the face is rose colored and the hands are blue. Movement is 17 jewel and 5AB model. Very tiny watch. Will only briefly run, unless you lightly tap it. I'm guessing it needs to be cleaned and oiled. Looking for a name and year. Absolutely love this watch and any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you all!

Hello and welcome to myBulova!  You have a lovely watch and it does look like a Goddess of Time.  There are several different models of Goddess of Time and variants.  I haven't found an exact match yet but will keep looking.  Here is an ad from 1941 that is close but the dial looks like it is cushion and your dial is tonneau.

Here is another ad and the "F" looks close, maybe a match?

Very close. Thank you again! I think the band is different. It could've been changed at some point but it doesn't seem like it

You are welcome!  Yes it is a different band.  I have one with the band in the ad, it is a very distinct band.  Your's could be original to the watch or a replacement.  It is very common that bands have been replaced.  Your band does fit the period.

Could it be a "La Petite"? It's very tiny! I'll keep hunting too. Very busy today but I'm determined to identifying it. Thank you again for the help and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

I think La Petite came out in the 50s.  Yes me too, busy cleaning for tomorrow and company : ) but nice to take quick breaks.  You have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

Hi Tessa, welcome to mybulova. Nice watch! I'm going to go with Kathy's great ad find and agree with

1941 Goddess Of Time, tentative variant "F".

It's hard to tell if the crystal shape is slightly different or it's just artistic license in the ad drawing.

Thank you! She found the closest one I've seen yet. Thank you both for your help!

Hi Tessa - it's exciting, isn't it? I think Kathy got the ID right

1941 Bulova Goddess of Time F  thanks for sharing it.

PS - the 'flying' lady of Bulova logo - as seen among other places at the top of this page, is known as the 'Goddess of Time'.   Hmm, maybe time 'flies' after all? Depending on where you live we might recommend someone to service your watch if you're interested.
