Hi Dennis and thanks for adding your watch.

Looking through the adverts we have on site I've found that your watch in a:

1942 Bulova Jane Addams

Can you please also confirm the back case serial number as the one you entered seems a bit long.

Only the second in the db, a fine centre sweep ladies watch named after the Nobel prize winning Jane Addams, First woman to recieve an honorary degree from Yale, humanitarian and co-founder of Chicago's Hull House.

Welcome to myBulova, Dennis, can you confirm the movement model? 7AK would be incorrect for this watch. I suspect it is a 6BKC, an in house Bulova movement, not from an ebauche. The 'C' is for the Centre Sweep hand.

Looks like the case serial # is I983829 (you can read it better on his second post).  So a 1942 movement and a 1949 case.  Should this be a non-comforming due to the 7 year gap?  Or a Jane Addams with a noted movement replacement?

Kathy raises a valid question about dates.  It is surely a Jane Addams casing, but year could be suspect. S/N starting with a "1" is 1941. If movement is marked with a "T" it's a 1942, asterix " * " it's a 1941.

Dennis, can you confirm serial number and date code on movement?

Bob it is a capital i starting the serial #.  You can see it better on the photo he attached in the 1949 posting.
