Watch Description

I can't identify the model as you may have guessed, and I have neither the skill or knowledge to open the watch to see the inner movements. What I know is that it is from the Swiss factory hence 'T Swiss T' under the face. Furthermore I have decyfered that the 'M8' is to date it's production in 1968. But the rest is really unknown to me. I have found a couple of models that look similar, like the sea king from '68 but nothing that is identical.

Bulover - somehow I missed your watch when you added lit last week, apologies. Welcome to myBulova, I 'love' your member name! You're in pretty good company around here if you're a Bulova "lover"!

I agree with the ID - Date King "PC". It's a fine looking watch, well done.

can anyone cofirm or deny what he stated, that the "M8" means 1968? i have one that is M5 and thus 1965?

my watch is an identical watch but does not say waterproof on the bottom of the face, only on the case back. same otherwise.

someone also stated last # in case serial is date, and another said 1st # in case serial. do we know any of this?

Bulova 2 digit date codes starting in 1948 or 49. A letter for decade and a number for the year. "A" for 1940, "L" for 1950, "M" for 1960 and "N" for 1970. Therefor M8 is 1968 and M5 is 1965..

thanks so much. someone here said the last letter of case serial was the year. another said 1st # of case serial. comparing known watches to years on this site and case serials, neither seemed to work. thanks for the information. very much appreciated. Scott Allen Reid
