Late 1919, although there is the one near the top of page 2 that is a closer match.

Dial and case with no engraving are similar to subjects.

LM ads with octagon unengraved case - 0/40+.

Rubaiyat ads with octagon unengraved case - 2/6.

Bookmakers odds - Rubaiyat romps past the post! :-)

Movement's unusual hand engraved info makes me think earlier than 1921, it looks more 1918-19, case date =1920.

The serial number on the movement makes me think later than 1919-1920.

Our date range for the AAI in movement database is 1921-1923.

I agree that the hand engraving makes this an old one, indeed. Jabs, what is the engraving near the balance? It is too dark to see properly in these pics.

Bobbee, Rev, Geoff = Rubaiyat

Will, Admin = Lady Maxim

Jaroslav, I'm not sure where you stand?

Geoff, from the beginning I took the Lady Maxim, does not make much sense to me to mark dial as Bulova if it should be Rubaiyat

Damn, that's a good point.

Don't know what this watch is now, but 1920 case/older movement/younger dial(?)= Bulova, I hate you! :-)

They could have been using up existing/remaining old stock to fill orders, anything could be-and probably is-possible.

Filling in the blanks, we need a good supply of erasers!

Bob, good construction, seems to be quite likely that it will  :)

this watch but rather attracted for me that Scout emblem, that is from the same material as the case  and has the same patina, unfortunately I have a particular relationship between scouting and Bulova not find

Jabs, that particular design of Fleur-de-lys was used post 1939, the 1920-39 Scouting symbol was this one;
