Watch Description

Bulova Accutron 214 M6 Doctor's Pulsation. The user instructions refer to the model as 'Doctor's Date Accutron'. The model had limited production in both the 214 and 218 calibers and is most usually designated simply as Doctor's Pulsation. As you might expect, the appeal would be mostly to medical personnel. The ability to quickly and accurately determine pulse rate is a very useful feature.

Very beautiful watch and probably very rare. This is the first one I have seen.

Cool watch. I guess we'd label this as just "Accutron" although that seems to not be enough of a name for this one. Accutronredux, I'm curious about your reference to it as 'Doctors Pulsation', what's the basis for that designation? I'm not an Accutron expert by any stretch of the imagination but I've never heard that before. Where does that come from?

I agree a very unique dial. I'm trying to get my head around how the scale works. I just measured my pulse and over 20 seconds I hit 23 beats.

Sitting at my computer desk obvioulsy isn't hard work :-)

Guy that is fantastic documentation.  If you could scan that and upload it to the database.  First I'm sure all of us have seen.  Very cool indeed.

I'm good with Accutron "Doctor's Date"

Sounds complex, why not start the sweep Seconds at 12?

I'm also curious as to why the Watch is named a Doctors Date Accutron as there is no Date window?

'ACCUTRON'  "DOCTORS DATE"

according to the literature, but would almost certainly have a unique Model number.

Did a little research and found the following. The caliber 218 Doctor's Pulsation did have a date window' so the instructions that were included with my M6 214 refers to a different model. Had not noticed the difference until the sharp eyecd panel member noted the odd description. :

Was able to pick one of these 1966 Accutron (m6 214) it's a 10k filled version. Not sure if the bracelet is correct but I paid him a cool $20.00 (for another 10.00 he threw in a 23 Jewel Boulva auto). Anyone have a vaule on this watch or what retail was....
