I would like to know the model and any other information possible. I believe from the serial number that I have the correct manufacture year. I cannot open the case. The case is stamped 14K GOLD Bulova. The band which had links removed so it would fit my grandfathers wrist as he aged is stampre Kreisler 14K USA and weighs .97 ounces. Thank you for any input.

1947 Tuxedo A.

If you're not up to opening it yourself you can probably take it to a jeweler for a few $ to open it and take a few pics of the movement. The movement should be a 21j 7AK.

It's awesome that you still have the solid gold bracelette!

I guess that's the best way to go. I need to find someone that is reputable in antique watches, and I would like to get it appraised one day.

I failed to mention in my earlier post that if you don't know when the watch was serviced last or if it's been more than 5 years then you should have a COA, (Clean, Oil, & Adjust) done before winding it too much. Just because it runs well and keeps time there's a good chance of doing expensive damage to the moving parts. Not to mention that a $75-100 COA, that will be good for up to 8 years, is well worth it for this family heirloom.

Nice '47 Tuxeudo A w/ original gold bracelet.  Too cool.  Like DarHin says, service before running... A beauty!
