Watch Description

Looks similar to 1945 Brigadier and 1945 Douglas, but not the same dial and slight difference in the case. The watch band pin holes do not extend through the case to be visible on the outside (like the Brigadier). Movement is seventeen  17  jewels  ,  unadjusted  , swiss  ,  with a mark  MX(?). the MX (?) looks like the MX is followed by a small square with some marking inside. I cannot make out the mark inside the square.

Not sure about the date, but I think I am close.

Thanks  Ken S

Another solid gold "Douglas-alike".

Unknown.

Ken, is there any date marks that match any in the information drop-down Bulova Date Codes on the movement?

Ken  The MX(?) is most likely the Swiss to USA Bulova Import code BXW. This was required on movements which were "assembled" and imported.  I dont' know how many of these movements with this code were timed and cased in USA.  Also don't remember if Swiss eubauchs required this import code or not, as it's usually stamped on the balance cock.

Beautiful but Unknown. I think Plainsmen has one like it but not sure.

I looked at it with a 28x loop and it is the BXW import code. Carefully checked and there are no other markings.

Thanks for the ID help.  Ken S

Ken, can you post a close up shot of the movement and of the inside of the case back, if anything is stamped inside? Thanks

Watch case has no markings inside, and the movement shows BXW and SWISS as seen in the attached Pix.

Thanks  KS

Is that a circle date code just above the "seventeen jewels" stamp?

1944 if it is.

Ken, thanks for the pics.

Bobbee, that does look lke a circle but I think the date code is to the left of the balance wheel and just happens to be a circle too.

So how are we dating the case?
