Are there any ads showing this Case as a Golden Clipper?
We have quite a few naming it the 'DATE KING'

Gang- not evaluating the merit of any of the linked ads above, but the mechanics which will help w/ site organization. All five of the links to ad graphics files above point to files without the year of the ad publication in the file name. So when opening these links, while we get ads, we have no way of knowing the year of the ads unless we "remember" how they were referenced in Fifths' comment field above. These files will get propagated via links, and after a couple "generations" of this linking, it becomes very easy to loose track of the year of the ad. When naming ad files at upload, please try to place the year/date of the ad in the actual file name. My fear is the year of the ads get "confused", and they become less useful.
This case is also used on Jet Clippers, Presidents, Ambassadors, Sea Kings, Commanders and Clippers as well as Date Kings if one takes the time to look, several of which are shown in the ads linked above and none mention a gold plated movement, surely a noteworthy feature?
None of the above in the watch DB show a gold plated movement either, except for one post- 1970 Date King, which has no ad for proof of model, and is probably a Golden Clipper too.
EDIT:- Sorry it is taking a while Peter, but I'm sure you would rather it was correctly ID'd than not.

Not that I've seen yet...but I'm looking. We have several places we have to "look" now as we organize the new ads accordingly. 1. The ad database, 2. the corrisponding "decades" forum thread, 3. My original " Some Bulova Newspaper ads of interest " forum post (because not all the various ads in this forum were copied to their respective "decades" forum threads).

" Are there any ads showing a 'Golden Clipper' with a date display only? No."
How many times must one be asked to check their facts before making claims?
1970 ad. "B". Please note, "inside each model is the completely new gold plated automatic, waterproof, 17 jewel movement."
Thus disproving a couple more "wild claims" in one post.
Any ads before 1970 linked to in this thread are null and void, as they could not possibly have the gold plated movement.
The fact of the matter is, we still have very few 1970's ads, and only a couple of these have Golden Clippers, the first Bulovas to have gold plated movements.
We have a plethora of 1960's ads, with a great many watches with this case type, yet none match the subject. Why? Because none ARE the subject.
