The Golden Clipper first came out in 1970, this watch is 1970 case AND movement, the gold plated auto movement first used in GC's, this watch sports a gold plated automatic movement, therefore this is a Golden Clipper. Took some working out, but I got there.

My question woudl be, while all Golden Clippers have gold plated movements, can other clippers (or watches) also have gold plated movements?
All Merchant Marines are Sailors, but not all Sailors are Merchant Marines.

Seen only two in the DB, one is in a 1972 Spinnaker, the other is in 1970 Oceanographer, but being as these are obviously not GC's, I can only say I don't know, but in this watch's case and with the evidence in the mybulova DB, I have to say it's nothing but a GC as yet.

EDIT:- That is, gold plated 17 jewel automatic movement.
