Can't quite make out the case serial number....
This ad snippet was in another Midnight Clipper record:

no ceegar on this one.

I own an identical with a White Dial I believe to be an 'AMERICAN CLIPPER'

Gold Caseback of the subject suggests 'GOLDEN CLIPPER'

The Case style/design looks like the early 1960's  'CONVOY', but it's a front loading, manually wound Watertite - a 'SEA KING' is also shown with the same lugs, but it too is manually wound.

34mm Case is the clue to the ID.

Golden Clipper is not ID'd by a golden case back but by a gold plated movement, as proved in another thread with an ad for a Golden Clipper with the words "all stainless", so what is the point in trying to say different as it is not true?

"Golden Clipper is not ID'd by a golden case back but by a gold plated movement, as proved in another thread"

proved bobbee? hardly.

The Movements are not "gold plated" and are found in several different Models.

Hardly? If Golden Clippers are defined by a Gold caseback, prove it. The ad provided states "All stainless" for the Golden Clipper "G",centre left. No gold case back.

The next ad is for Golden Clippers and states "yellow brushed top case" for all three GP models, and "stainless steel case" for the other. No mention of a mythical  "golden case back".Proved.

EDIT:- As for  the movement not being gold plated in the GC's, read the ad, and get your facts right before you edit.

We have only two ads with this case, one with black dial, one with white. Both are "Sea King". The white dial matches the subject, whilst the black dial differs slightly.

Tentative Sea King.

Here's the two Sea King ads from above, next to subject watch.

"Gold plated' movement - certainly not in a 'GOLDEN CLIPPER'

a Movement colour is no basis for an ID.

Couldn't disagree more on the 'SEA KING' ID as it is not selfwinding as mentioned prior:

"The Case style/design looks like the early 1960's  'CONVOY', but it's a front loading, manually wound Watertite - a 'SEA KING' is also shown with the same lugs, but it too is manually wound."

as with a Movement Colour, Case lugs are not a basis for an ID. see "CONVOY' http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/Bulova_AD_1960_… top right.

The Watch on the right measures 40mm lug to lug x 34mm in Diameter and is notably larger than the Watch on the Left, the Watch on the Right is also an Automatic,Left is manually wound. TheCase lugs are identical.

Watch on the Right also has a Gold Caseback held with a retaining ring, matching the subject Watch in Diameter and design only the Dial Colour differs.

The subject is a 17 Jewel Automatic in a Waterproof Case and will be a 'CLIPPER', of sorts.
