Really Will? Fluted and angled backwards, identical lugs to me. But I stare at these for hours so maybeI'm just bananas!

Actually, I see them now....and I kinda saw them before, but wasn't sure.....Thanks for the close-up, and this makes me think the Lord Springfield (case anyway) is a match.

I believe this to be a black dial variant of this 1952 Reed.   Same case. Same minute marker track position and wording on dial.   Only difference is hour markers not having numbers.  Any catalogs that list variants of the Reed?

Bobbee made a comment above about there being a 1953 Lord Springfield advert, putting that model in the time frame of this watch.

Here is the Bulova linebook entry for the Lord Springfield "B" that is a perfect match for the subject watch.
