1951 Bulova Academy Award Ladies 21J 6BC movement with a A9 date stamp, Gold Curtin Dial with Black numbers & markers and Black hands. The 10K Gold filled case and back is stamped L1, the band is a adjustable sliding clasp Bretton 12k Gold filled. 5X signed.

It is a very nice looking and good running ladies watch, and I hope one day we can determine which one of the 13+ letter codes this one is.
I just went through all of my '49 - '55 GS & BB catalogs and this is the model designations listed...they must have been pumping out new models every month for the first 2 years, its crazy!
From crystal size, this one is possibly the "B", "H" or "BH" and after looking at the crystal that I installed on this watch, I can see that it does not quite fit the contour of the crystal ring, and it should have a slight curve to the dimensions. I will have to see if I have the 2 part numbers that are listed, I am not sure why we have a discrepancy in measurements between the 2 company's, maybe a misprint or just a wrong listing?? and I am not sure why GS is listing a "BH" & "AJ", those might also be typo's
