Watch Description

I thought this looks like a Brewster model but I could not find any descriptions mentioning the two tone case. Inside the case says Pat. Jan 11 1927 Bulova New York 14K Rolled Gold Plate. There is one small wear through on the  back case corner.  This was very hard to get a photo showing the yellow gold running vertically on either side of the crystal the full length of the lugs. The face has radium numbers and cathedral hands both look original and are in very good condition.

The only model I have denoted from the timeframe... is the 1926- 29 "Ambassador" model. (Takes the same glass!)

Best :-)  Scott

Looks to be 15 jewel movement.

Agreed Will.

Finding more than one example in black that look original would mean this was a variant/option.

One way of checking for originality of these old dials would be a cheap radiation meter, these can be picked up on ebay for a few dollars/pounds. Checking the painted numbers with it would show if they are radium.

Not definitive, but goes a long way in helping.

I just stumbled across this 1929  ad, and it sure looks like it could be  a Brewster.

WOW!! That looks spot on.

Interesting to see it came with a what looks like a mesh band.

Now I will have to see if I can match the band.

Ad calls out "oxidized finish" mesh band, so I would say a flat finish gray stainless would be a pretty good approximation.
