Watch Description

This appears to be a plastic cased, one jewel, transistor switched, magnetic repulsion Balance Wheel Impulse Motor made by/for Bulova France under license from ATO.  The body of the wall clock is a K&G Lunéville France faïence plate.  It’s noteworthy that the K&G mark on the back of the plate was only used from 1880 to 1922, whereas, the transistor was invented in 1947.  Add a Watch required me to put a Manufacture Year so I picked 1965.  What I know is that transistors were invented in 1947 and the ubiquitous quartz movements became popular around 1980.

Not sure how to classify this one, I'm not sure it predates 1980.

This is what I found on ATO.

Excerpt:
The Hatot Company was among the first to embody in their instruments important improvements made possible by the application of transistors in horology (Fig 14 and Fig 15). Their first patents were filed on 16th September 1953, but the Hatot Company did not have sufficient funds to exploit their numerous patents worldwide, so they granted licences to several of the principal horological producers in the industrialised countries which is why there exist throughout the world millions of watches and clocks signed L. Leroy & Cie., Ebauches S.A., Junghans (Fig. 8), Westclox, Smith & Son, Bulova, Jaz et General Time, all carrying the words "Lic. ATO".

Happy to include it under the generic 'clock' model category.

Additional photos of the movement without the cover would be great.

So an electro magnet movement.

I wonder if 'O8' is a date code for clocks?

Maybe N 08?
