I'm thinking we have an ad for this, or similar, in the 1970's decade ads....or was in the 1960's decade ads....
Close to the Sea King ES, but only close. http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/uploaded_photos/user2196/CederRapidsGazetteNov06_1969WEB.jpg

In reply to "FL" is a 'strap Watch', the by FifthAvenueRes…
Are we assuming subject watch was originally sold on it's current bracelet? The blue strap could have been replaced with the current bracelet. In that same ad, we see "FJ" picutred on a bracelet. With two-letter variants for this model series, there's a good chance if this watch came on it's current bracelet, it had a different variant designation. IMO this is one of those model series where the mount is necessary to the variant ID. The watch can't be the "FL" unless it's on a blue strap, as per the wording and graphic in the ad. Having said that- the closest ad we have is for the FL. I'm good with a tentitive FL as this doesn't conflict with other ads on site, and caputres them most info about the watch. Will the subject watch ever be confirmed as the "FL"? I don't think so. It doesn't have the blue strap.
