Watch Description

My mother purchased this watch for me as a birthday gift maybe 6 years ago from a consignment/antique store. The wrist strap is soo tiny it looks like it's made for a child but it fits my small wrist just perfect. It's a winding watch which is fabulous because I have some weird condition that makes battery operated watched go dead within days of wearing them....  I need to get the faceplate replaced as it fell out & was lost when I moved- the watch has been in storage since then but I am getting married in July & would like to wear it. Any information would be soo helpful- especially the model, year (i'm guessing 1970 but not sure), and any repair store recommendations....  Back Plate Info: (at the top) - 10KT rolled gold plate - Bulova N0 (pretty sure it's N0 but I could be wrong) - (at the bottom- I assume case serial #) - Z39159 - (inside back plate) - looks like 2500 in black ink with a 9 0 or 5 0 underneath, also 2900 is carved in small hand  writting above the black ink #'s - Movement Info:  winding- near knob "Un Adjusted" - Bulova Watch Co - 5BC = N0 - Swiss - 17 Seventeen Jewels

You are right, the back is marked NO for 1970, and so is the movement.

This is an extremely pretty little watch, and the "Mask" on each end of the watch looks great!

I don't think I have seen this model, but you could have fun looking here:http://www.mybulova.com/node/5057

Thank you for taking a look! I went through the ad links you posted & found an image that looks the same but it's a 1968 ad for a First Lady "E" (which you posted I think) along with the Rubaiyat "J", Beau Bremmel "AL", etc - does it matter that the ad & make year don't match though?

You found it! Great work!

I bet you feel good after that, it's fun to do, yes?

I f we cannot find an ad in the exact year, we will "cast about", a year or three before and after the manufacture date on the watch, and if we cannot find a match, we will sometimes look a little later and earlier until we are sure we have or do not have, an exact match, but you did it by yourself so congrats, and yes, it is the "FIRST LADY 'E' ", one of several I've posted.

Anyone got a crystal to fit, so this pretty watch can go to a wedding?
