Watch Description

1969 Bulova Sea King 'EX'

All stainless steel case and caseback, dated M9; case number 2920; dial has black lettering with luminous hands and dots, black second hand; movement is a manual-wind 11BLC 17-jewel dated M9.

The case is unusual to me, as it does not accept spring bars. The band fits in an opening and is held in by the overlay of the bezel and caseback.

Ad is dated 1969

If it looks like an EX it is an EX. Three ticks. Just one more of those beautiful watches from you.

Wow that thing is beautiful for being about 45 years young.
Sea King EX works for me.  Good ad match.

Looking good, Sea King EX fits. That's a fabulous beauty ring, really makes the piece.

Many thanks for the compliments! Someday maybe I will find a band that fits; Geoff the watch in your link looks to have the band directly attached to the case? I've seen that in some ladies cases before also, and I'm not sure this one is the same. I'm puzzled on this one; here is a closeup:

Ken, I don't have it any longer so I can't be sure. Seems like it did attach like yours but I really can't verify. Just going back and looking at it makes we wonder why I sold it.
