Watch Description

Here is one that makes no sense, I don't even have a guess. Some components are replaced, but I can't decide which.

Face, crown  and hands appear to be 1956 / 57 President, as does case back configuration, however back is stainless. Movement (L4)  appears to be 2 years earlier than the release of round case 17J Presidents. Lugs don't match the face (for a President model), however they do match other same period Presidents in a different style case as well as the early Squadron that the round 17J President turned into.

My first inclination was it was an early Squadron as I thought the case date was "M1". Upon closer inspection, it is "M7". I find no watches in the Database in this case with this snap back that late.

What the heck is this?

Is it a mix-match of parts, a 1967 case with a 1954 movement.

I'd have to be at non-conforming with such a large gap in years.

Very nice looking watch but I have nothing.

Non-conforming or Unknown for the case
