Watch Description

Stole this off of e-bay with two other autos for 49.99, listed as not working. The winding pinion was stuck and watch would not wind.

This is the picture I had to bid from. The watch had a lot of acrilic paint on it and the crystal was scratched bad.

yep looks just like the charcoal dial variant jet clipper C.  The above ad doesn't designate C, but shows the exact subject watch.  Previous ads same year show C w/ with white dial,  but state choice of charcoal dial.   I'm on the fence about whether or not the variant C was just the white dial watch, and another letter designates the charcoal choice.  Based on Shawkey (2000), the "convention" could change with time even within a series of watches.  (see his footnote in table 1).

...but this discussion belongs in a forum post, not in this watch thread...as I'm rating this watch  a three star "1963 Jet Clipper"

"C" is the white dial and "D" the black dial.
