The M0 on the back of the case shows it to be a 1960 model.

Looks like it is in very good condition.

I think the year of the watch may be a factor in determining the model. The S.V.P. line shows up in ads 1959 and 1960, and this 1959ad shows this watch:

The earliest Concerto ad I can find is 1961. I've also seen three variations of the dial on this watch: all numerals, even numerals, and only the 12 with indicies for the rest.

Since this watch is dated to 1960, I'm thinking S.V.P. may be the model.

It's a lucky lady that gets a vintage Bulova for Christmas! Nice find, it appears to be in excellent condition.

I guess I'm in with the SVP based on the dated advert. My concern would be the different dials. Is it possible that the "12 only" dial is still Concerto?

Geoff, yes the 12 only dial is shown for Concerto in a 1962 advert.

What year did the Concerto start?

The 1961 price guide shows us that both the Concerto and S.V.P models existed and that they were one in the same watch.

1961 Price Guide Concerto v S.V.P

Did we once discuss and determine what S.V.P meant?

I prefer Concerto as the model, but that's just me. Unless that is in 1960 there was only the S.V.P model. 1960 price guide anyone?
