Watch Description

1960 Senator "A". Nice watch with as few little marks on face and minor plating wear to high points. As of this posting, I've owned it about 6 hrs. Appears to be keeping accurate time at this point. Love the case on these, real classy.

Go to the top of the page to the "Home" button., click "add a watch", follow the instructions and submit it to the database for review.

I agree, this is a Senator 'A'. Note the model number 32701 in the above ad and the dial/band style. There was also another Senator 'A' model number 13215 that is first seen in the 1961 pricelist, and according to this 1962 ad the dial matches the subject watch.

Nice "connect the dots" catch Ken. Agreed. It seems that all documented "A"'s in this case with this dial date 1960 or after, and the 1950's model number 32701  appears to go out of production in leu of the model number 13215. My initial gut feeling was that my example is a first year issue of the second model number "A" variant.

Your addition of the 1961 price list info and confirmation ad from 1962 should also change the years old status of the single 1960's example of this watch in the database (referenced above by Jabs) from a generic Senator to a verified  "A".
