Movement recently cleaned and lubricated, case and bezel cleaned and polished, new plexi-glass dome, and leather strap installed. Case engraved with serial number F004680, M0 (1960), Shock Resistant, Stainless Steel Case, Water Proof, Self Winding, and Anti-Magnetic. 33 x 42 mm diameter stainless steel case (measured without crown), 10 mm thick (with glass and back), with moderate wear on case, bezel, lugs and crown. Original linen dial, with polished silver Arabic numeric 3,6,9,& 12 hour markers, and silver toned hour, minute, and sweeping second hands. Keeps good time.
I finally found an advert for this watch in 60/61 groupings. Not exactly the same but described as 'Self-Winding' model $59. I'm not sure this name was really ever used by Bulova so would rather stick to Bulova 23.. Still not seen many of the linen dials around though, 1 or 2 very occaisionally on ebay.
