This is the 50th NOS Bulova watch added to my collection. Interestingly enough a 1956 model year is the 56th NOS watch (of all manufacturers) in my scuderia.

Nice one Geoff, now we know trhat the "H" is Yellow, or can it be both?

Swell looking watch Geoff. 23 "H" from me.

31315W is probably the white.  I bet the price lists suggest the 31311 is Yellow (as the hang tag indicates).  I'm telling ya folks, there is a method to those model numbers.  I'm off to Bruce's article and the price lists now....  Great watch Geoff!!!  It could be the "H" is available in either white or yellow, and only those official Bulova model numbers differ ...

The ad states "Bulova 23 'H' Available White or Yellow". The model in the ad is the 31315-W and would be White. The hang tag identifies this as the 31311-Y and is Yellow.

A White Case would not also be designated the 'H' variant, it's different.

"23" 'H'
