Watch Description

I have a Bulova watch I wear every day and was made in 1954 (L4) on back. It is a mystery dial type, 14k case, not rolled gold, 30 jewel, self winding with six (6) diamonds on the face. The enclosed pictures are of it. I cannot find anything on this baby and would love to know the actual name "model-style of it. Please help me on this if you can. It is just a great old watch. Thank you so much,
Tom

I am keeping it like I said and I cant wait to get her back. I have had it  long time and now I hope a lot longer since she is being redone.

Thanks again,

Tom

As mentioned prior a 30 Jewel Automatic does not appear until 1959. The subject Movement symbol is MO = 1960, Case 1954.

'NON - CONFORMING'

the 23 Jewel version perhaps, not the 30.

I love how you state things as fact, with absolutely no proof, and refute information from more knowledgable sources than yourself.
Absolutely priceless.

All this excitement about this toy made me go through my "junk"  drawer and lo and behold I found my other watch I thought was lost. This one, thanks to all of you people I was able to identify. This one is a purist in all repsects. It is a 1951 "Walton" and she is purring along like a Bulova does. One on each wrist perhaps.

Thanks again people,

Tom

I'm ready to vote - 1954 case, 1960 movement = Non-Conforming - It's still a great watch - I like that mystery dial a lot.

Tom, when you get the chance we would really appreciate some updated photos of your watch showing some better detail. There seems to be lot of confussion as to what is actually stamped on your watch and this is making it difficult for some of us to agree on a model ID.

It's a great watch rehgardless, I'd just love to be able to give you a deffinitive model name and this is something we simply cannot do with the current pictures.
