I have a question about this one. The band seems to be permanantly stretched out, and I'm allergic to the base metal in it. Woud it be appropriate to switch out the band? Where could I find a replacement?

Looks like your watch has the original band, but I would say you could most certainly swap it for a black cord style and still be period.

Your watch is a 1953 Bulova Olinda "C" (white). Yellow version can be see here: https://mybulova.com/watches/1952-olinda-a-6748

1953 Bulova Olinda "C" is a good match assuming movement is 17J

WOW - I spent an HOUR looking for this watch in the linebooks  and adverts last night and never even came close to identifying it. Well found Stephen!

Great work. Thank you, panel. I've found an original cord band from around that time period and am now able to wear it. You guys are the best!
