Watch Description

I picked up a second AA "OO" because the dial was a bit nicer than the first one.  After getting it in the mail I don't think it is that much nicer but still nice to get just the same.  Like this one:  https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1951-academy-award-9915 .  I think these were popular models in the day and they are all pretty well worn.  Still on the look out for a mint one.  I swapped bands so this one would have the NOS original band and I put another complementary NOS band on my first one.

This has a 10K yellow gold filled case date stamped L1.  The 21 jewel working movement is also date stamped L1.  I installed a new crystal which snapped right in place.

Another nice one Kathy, good for you! Case looks to be pretty nice on this one. Well done on the crystal; another one  from the "hoard"? ;o)

Thanks Bob!  This crystal was from the first hoard I got : ) got three of them in the bunch so I popped one on my other "OO" at the same time.  Now they are both cleaned up and have new crystals.

Great to see the advert showing both the Bulova Academy Award "OO" and "NN" and then to see them for real side by side.

I always wonder how many times these have appeared in an actual photo side by side....probably not too many.
