My grandfather's wrist watch. Has Bulova L0 on the back. Inside on the movement: Bulova Watch Co. 10bc 15 Jewels Unadjusted BXW-BAL I took the watch to my local shop this year: Old Time Watch & Clock Shop where they cleaned and got it to run. They sent the watch out to get the face cleaned. My grandmother thought Gramps got the watch in the late 40's or early 50's. It has a Speidel watch band on it. It looks like the Arnold style. I don't have a photo of the movement. I may take it back to the shop to get them to open it up.
Thank you for your input.
Hi Donald, welcome to myBulova - congratulations on having your grandfathers watch. I think these family heirlooms are just so special. If you wear it regularly take it back every couple years to have in cleaned and oiled. Gramps would be proud to know that you're still honoring it.
Arnold - a dandy one too.
Thanks for the advice Geoff. I wasn't sure it would work but the shop did get it going. The face cleaning really impressed me. It was grey & dull before. No wonder my grandfather loved this watch. Now to find a nice display case for it. Ebay had a blue Bulova box just like the one I remember sitting on my grandfather' dresser.
