Watch Description

1950 Bulova 37145 Academy Award W - New Old Stock. This fabulous watch comes complete with original clam shell display case, outer cardboard storage box, completely unmolested original hang tag, stand up price tag and watch guarantee bond paper. The original Kreisler Bamboo band is in near perfect, unworn condition. I just don't know how it's gets any better. There is hardly a mark on this wonderful example of one of the most sought after Bulova watches. With the ribbed dial and pyramid hour markers beneath the original thick crystal and the ribbed case this is one of the most recognizable Academy Award watches.

I'll stop now, so you can start gazing at what is probably the centerpiece of my New Old Stock Bulova collection.

Yes, this is the one you saw for sale recently on the bay. He started out a bit higher than I could pay but eventually came down to my budget.

Other than an Oscar you have the complete set!

Great to see so many AA Models popping up!  FYI The expansion band from Jaques Kreisler is named "Golden Bamboo" 

Look to inside the case on the right, there is a indentation for the jewelers tag which is a Sandwich Board  just like movie theaters used.
