I believe "His Excellency JJ"
In reply to Hi Jabs, Welcome to by bourg01
I t is undoubtedly His Excellency and a beauty at that, I also say post it to 1949. Not sure on the LL, I didn't see that ad on site? I think this dial - numeral font - hand combination is the most attractive. This case style is also high on my list.
Nice collection you have going jabs, are there more coming?

I stopped on the "JJ" too but noticed the seconds track was slightly different. On the "JJ" it's boxed in - enclosed - on your watch it's open. That was the basis for my ' undoubtedly His Excellency....' comment.
Here's an amazing example of the "JJ" - every now and then I stop in at Bob's place to visit this one.......http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1949-his-excellency-jj-2981 If I started a 'regret list' for watches I SHOULD have bought, this would be the first entry.
Glad to hear there's a new confirmed case of Bulovitis out there. What a wonderful condition! Welcome to the coolest club on earth.
These Bulova Watches are like Pototo Chips (Crisps) and have been grossly overlooked as Collectable in the past.
Given time You will realise the readily available Models and the not so readily availlable. My advice to a new Collector would be to stick to obtaining the Models already identified at first. Browse the Database and learn what to look for in a Bulova, the 'FRANKENBULLY's are out there and We all own at least one.
Best of Luck with Your new affliction.
