Thanks, that`s what I had it pegged at.The dial is all ready  to be sent out for refinishing. The dial side has the ETA 1220 mark.Is this common. This is the first time I notice this.

This was common for a number of years but only on certain ebauches. Bulova had a Swiss plant and did manufacture their own movements, importing them to the US sometimes with no mods. Ideally, mods were performed Stateside to avoid tariffs on finished goods. Bulova also achieved entirely USA built movements at some point (50's?) but I don't have dates for any of this. We have discussed this before elsewhere, and I did find dates for this at that time, but I can't find the original post.

1950 Bulova Commodore certainly looks good to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing the end result of the dial refinish? Who do you use?

Admin,I use INTERNATIONAL DIAL as they have done excellent work for me before. They even redid a Tissot dial a second time for me at no charge when I wasn't satisfied .They seem to stand behind the work they do.

Speaking of the dial,I thought at first that it was silver coloured(butler finish)but I must be wrong as all the other examples seem to be white.Hope it comes out nice as its in really poor shape.
